Letter from our Recruitment Chair:

Formal Recruitment is something our chapter looks forward to every year and we are so excited that you are here to find more information about the process! As you may know the University of California, Merced was recently opened in 2005 and Greek Life was established in 2009.  Since then, Greek Life has grown exponentially with almost 250 Greeks at UCM! Kappa Kappa Gamma is one of eight Greek Letter Organizations at the University of California, Merced and was installed as a chapter on April 25, 2009.

The recruitment process begins with you! Eligible students may sign up through UC Merced’s Office of Student Life in the spring.  I strongly encourage you to go through the recruitment process as it is an experience of a lifetime! It is three days filled with fun activities and meeting hundreds of new women, but most of all, Recruitment is fun!  Whether or not you think Sorority Life is for you, I encourage you to go through recruitment because Kappa has become a cornerstone of my college experience. Kappa has shaped me as a student, volunteer, and most of all, as a leader. I know I can speak for the entire chapter when I say "We are Proud to be Eta Xi"!

Kappa looks forward to seeing you during Formal Recruitment next Spring!

Sincerely,

Camerina Morales, Membership Chairman
